Here is my bra from the my bra making class. I think it came out well. It's amazing how well a custom bra fits.
This blog is dedicated to my quilting escapades. Here I will journal my projects. Also, I will chronicle my various things related to quilting and tips I have found useful.

Bra Making 3 Times A Charm
I have been taking bra making classes with Marijane Johnson. She is great. This bra was the third try one I made from her basic bra making class. I will post the one I am completing from the Advanced Bra Making class shortly. These are great class. She is extremely patient and a wealth of information. Marijane is also quite resourceful. If anyone is interested in learning bra making, this is a great person to learn from.

Jill Schumacher's Class on Whole Cloth Quilting
Ok, so I'm a mad woman with quilting these days but, having so much fun learning new things. Today, I had a class with Jill Schumacher AKA Quiltmaker to the Queen at Always Quilting in San Mateo. Jill is very inspiring and patient. While I have been practicing learning this technique for a while today it set in. Now, I knew how important marking was but, today it sunk in. Yes, tedious but, the results are worth it. Below is my practice piece. Nope, not perfect, still have alot of practicing to do. If you're not familiar with Jill, here's her website and there's a calendar of class locations. I'm think Trapunto will be something I'll have to try next from her.

Celebrating National Quilting Day
I happen to have been blessed with being introduced to a fabulous person back in October. I had heard about her from several people but, had never met her. While doing the preview at PIQF I ran into my friend Melodee who is also good friends with this wonderful person. Bam, we met and it all clicked. I can't say but good things about her and by happen stance a group of us are quilting on this weekend together. I'm very excited to say that I will be quilting with Esterita Austin because my friend had the vision set up this sewcial with her.
I am so looking forward to this and am so indebt to my friend for inviting me to be apart of this for 3 days.
If you don't know Esterita's work, you should check it out. Her website is: http://www.esteritaaustin.com/gallerymain.htm .
So, look out for new photos from her weekend either her or on Facebook.

Accidental LandscapeClass/Karen Eckmeier
Today, I had the opportunity to take a Guild Class with Karen Eckmeier called Accidental Landscapes. Below is the completed top. It has been sandwiched, just need to quilt it and bind it. This was a fun class and did not take long to do. There are so many possibilities with this technique. I'm looking forward to doing a postcard from the scraps and several other versions of this quilt soon.

This is 2 days worth of work with more to go
This is a photo with me and other Santa Clara Valley Quilt Guild members displaying the partially completed work from the Carol Taylor Class.
Shameless Snag with Carol Taylor
This past week I had the opportunity to spend 3 days with Carol Taylor. ( www.caroltaylorquilts.com ) What an incredible experience. Each of the ladies did fantastic work on their quilts. Photos will be up soon. In the interim, I grabbed a photo of me and others watching Carol do a demo. Carol is extremely creative and patient. With 25 students in the class she was able to provide attention to everyone with the kindness of a saint.
